More Corribee - related information, articles and books:
1. Isles of the West, Ian Mitchell. ISBN: 184158150X. A voyage around some of the Western Isles of Scotland in a Corribee. While the purpose and main content of the book is about conservation issues, there are some interesting passages which give an insight into the cruising capabilities of the Corribee. Mixed reviews, as the author has some strong views on the work of the conservation bodies active in this part of the world, but from the Corribee owners point of view it has some useful content.

2. Taking on the World, Ellen MacArthur. ISBN: 0141006978. Most of the book is about Ellen's epic solo round-the-world voyage of course. However, her solo UK voyage is described in great detail and there are some excellent photos of her Corribee, Iduna.
3. Sailing Today, June 2005. An article by Victoria and Dominic March on a summer cruise from the West Country to the Scillies in Opus Too. Victoria March and John Goode (editor of ST) have given permission for us to reproduce the article.

4. Yachting Monthly, 'A-Z of secondhand boats' Oct 2001. A short review of the Corribee and another one of the Coromandel. Available as a photocopied reprint.
5. Practical Boat Owner, 'Blue Chip Boats', March 2006. Similar to the Yachting Monthly article above - a brief look at a number of 'small to mid-sized secondhand cruising yachts that ooze quality'.
6. Practical Boat Owner, April 2007. PBO go for a test sail in Elektra with Katie Miller, just before her UK circumnavigation. An excellent article - click here for more information.
7. 'Voyages of a Simple Sailor', Roger Taylor, ISBN 978-0-9558035-0-5, 2007. An autobiography detailing Roger's sailing adventures. More than this though, it gives an insight into single-handed sailing, the mental strains of dealing with heavy weather and a great deal of solid practical advice to anyone afloat in a small sailing craft.

For any Corribee owner who has been out in worse than they are comfortable with, Roger's description of sailing through the overfalls off St Alban's Head in a near-gale will reassure them:
'I now felt confident enough to give Mingming a more severe test by deliberately putting her beam-on to a breaking crest... Over she went onto her beam ends. I expected that she would stay down, recovering slowly. To my amazement, she snapped up immediately.'
